Based in the Eastern US, Celtic duo Jesse and Kevin are an unprecedented combination of world-class talent in Scottish and Irish traditional music. Bagpipe guru Jesse Ofgang’s expertise and years of intense training on the great highland pipes, border pipes and uilleann pipes are the perfect complement to All-Ireland champion singer Kevin Elam’s enchanting ballads and inventive accompaniment on the guitar, bouzouki and harmonium.

Jesse and Kevin’s collaboration was born of the many long hours the two lads have spent on the Celtic festival circuit debating the finer points of the tradition: Jesse always preferring to push forward, with a mind toward innovation and the future, and Kevin with a (perhaps overly nostalgic) fascination with tradition and the past. Remarkably, this push and pull has proved a fertile breeding ground for exciting and meaningful music-making that connects on a deep level with diverse audiences. We hope to continue connecting with audiences far into the future, playing Celtic music with the passion and intensity that can only come from a years-long love affair with our beloved musical traditions.

After a long weekend of shows at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, the lads went up to the top of Grandfather Mountain to enjoy the mountain views!
